On 17th December 2004, Annie Smits organized a swimming competition at Thermae Son for children and grown-ups who take part in one of her "trimzwemmen" classes. I took part for the first time, entering three individual events and the relay. I set a new personal best on each of the individual events, knocking off 20 seconds on some of them!
My results:

On 9th March 2005, the "trimzwemmen" group did a Coopertest: swim as far as you can in
12 minutes. You are only allowed to use frontcrawl (borstcrawl in Dutch).
I managed to swim 380 metres, just over 15 lanes in the 25 metre pool in Son.
In January 2006, the "trimzwemmen" group did a race over 1 kilometer. I was the fastest of my group, swimming 40 lanes in 25 minutes and 46 seconds. I managed to do most of it using frontcrawl, only about 3 lanes as breaststroke (schoolslag in Dutch).
